ABOUT THIS CD

Anne Hinton Pratt (Songwriter)

Several years ago, I met Drew. I was choir director in a Church in El Paso, and Drew came occasionally to sing. I was amazed at his gift. Drew was 16 years old and was friends with my youngest son, One day Drew came by to visit him. I invited Drew in and since he just happened to have his Josh Groban songbook with him, I invited him in to sing as I accompanied. Something about that experience was magical, and several days later, the song "Love Without end," flowed to me. With that "flow" was the strong feeling that this song was meant for Drew to sing. Before that time I had mostly written religious or inspirational music, but that musical experience with Drew brought out another side of me. Song after song poured out and each time I could "hear" Drew's voice in my mind as I wrote them. Drew was invited to sing them at weddings and other functions and people loved him and the songs. Because of all the positive feedback, and people wanting more, Drew's parents made the decision to produce the CD.

It was a rich and rewarding experience working with Drew. He is a beautiful young man, and has a larger than life persona. It's like he has a light inside of him that comes out full-wattage as he sings. People can feel the healing warmth of his voice and go away from the experience a better person. It has been a great joy in my life to associate with Drew and his family.

Bill Boushka (Executive Producer and Dad)

There was something compelling about this music. Anne Pratt would come over to our home and play her latest creation and Drew would sing it. When I would listen, something seemed to say, "Take this to the next level." At every point in this musical journey, the right people showed up at the right time. We hired Brian Jensen to arrange the music, and I cannot image anyone doing a better job. Our first recording sessions at Rosewood Recording Company, were so impressive, we decided to record all the arrangement tracks with live instruments. The results just kept getting better.

We discovered a world-class recording studio, Sonic Ranch, in Tornillo, Texas just outside our hometown of El Paso, Texas. Tony Rancich, who owns this studio, has been a great source of inspiration and mentoring. He has almost adopted us and this project as his own. A friend of ours, who owns an internet service and software company, said she would produce and host the website for 30 paletas (Mexican popsicles) and some signed copies of Drew's CD. We are grateful for all who assisted in this in this project. We know we didn’t do this on our own.

When all these people, talents and resources come together so serendipitously, I feel the real producer is not myself, but the hidden hand of Him who rules in the affairs of men.
